Rivers and wine flow through Northwest Arkansas and the Ozark Mountains rise high to greet the sun. The Buffalo National River starts here in the Ozarks, offering plenty of fishing, floating and other recreational fun. Charming mountain towns dot the area and offer uncommon shopping and dining experiences. Northwest Arkansas is a great time for everyone.

Ozark Highlands National Recreation Trail is a 258-mile hiking and backpacking trail through some of the most scenic areas in the Ozark Mountains. Also hidden in Northwest Arkansas are the Oz Trails, 200 miles of mountain biking trails, ready for visitors to come and shred.

Home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals minor-league baseball team, Arvest Ballpark is a 6,500-seat regional entertainment hub. This state-of-the-art facility hosts more than 70 baseball games a year and other events in the off-months.

Beaver Lake is Northwest Arkansas’ sparkling crown jewel and birthplace of the White River. Lovely limestone cliffs and clear water characterize this 28,000-acre playground for boating, fishing and swimming enthusiasts looking for a wet and wild vacation.

Crystal Bridges houses an extensive permanent collection of some of the finest pieces of American art, from Thomas Cole to Andy Warhol. This stunning museum also hosts diverse rotating exhibits, attracting people from around the country to view the finest pieces of American art and culture.

Designed by famed Arkansas architect E. Fay Jones, The Thorncrown Chapel, tucked in the hills of Eureka Springs, is a breathtaking structure that made the American Institute of Architecture’s list of Top 10 Designs of the 20th Century.

Northwest Arkansas is the state’s top winemaking region. Most of the production is centered around the town of Altus home to the Mount Bethel, Post, Chateaux Aux Arc, Wiederkehr and Neumeier wineries. Plan a road trip to the area to search for the perfect bottle.

Some of the cities of interest in this region are Fayetteville, Bentonville, Fort Smith, Rogers, Eureka Springs, Booneville, Springdale, Altus, Bella Vista, Siloam Springs and Ponca.
